Hudson Valley Plant Hike

In the chilly beginnings of spring, which this year wasn’t until April the 27th, a crew of adventurous society members trekked up to Cold Spring, NY to see the beauties and wonders of native plant life. Led by the amazing botanist Jenna Dorey, we ferreted out what plant life we could find in the cold Hudson Valley soils, finding some beautiful sedge and blooming spicebush, among other wonders of the floral world. A great time was had by all, and much was learned of the local chloroplasted Americans.
