Friday, May 22: Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Library at the American Museum of Natural History with Mai Reitmeyer

It's been awhile but please join us for our first event of 2026, Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Library at the American Museum of Natural History with Mai Reitmeyer on Friday, May 22 at 4 PM.

RESERVATIONS: This event is FREE! However, due to space limitations inside the collection, we have a VERY LIMITED number of spots available for this event and reservations are required to attend. Please RSVP by sending an email to metropolitannaturalhistory@gmail.com. NB: Facebook and Meetup ''attendance" will NOT be considered as a reservation. 

EVENT DESCRIPTIONPlease join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the David S. and Ruth L. Gottesman Research Library and Learning Center at the American Museum of Natural History. Learn about the AMNH's extensive rare book collection and more with Senior Research Services Librarian, Mai Reitmeyer.

LOCATION: The event will take place at the American Museum of Natural History. Once your reservation is confirmed, details on the meeting point will be emailed to you. 

Mai Reitmeyer is the Senior Research Services Librarian at the American Museum of Natural History Research Library, where she oversees reference and access to print and electronic published materials in the Library, including the extensive Rare Book Collection. Mai is a contributing author to several articles about these collections and a frequent collaborator with authors writing on natural history collections at the Museum.
